A ladder is a flat two-dimensional graphical image, like a sheet of graph paper. Unlike paper, however, a ladder is programmable in two ways: the user can define the number of rungs on a ladder, and the user can draw new rungs. The rungs, or “steps”, are connected to one another by lines called “rungs”. For example, the top of a ladder can be attached to the bottom of the ladder via a rung. Finally, AutoLISP provides a standard toolset for doing all of these things. Like most programming languages, AutoLISP is a complex language.
