Is there a way to force `git checkout` to ignore the changes on the currently checked out branch?
I am using a remote repository that has an upstream branch that is the official version of the code. However, I would like to have my local copy of the code match what I pulled on the remote rather than the local master branch that I am on. The trouble is that I can’t seem to use the –ours option.
This question has something similar, but there I’m not using an upstream branch and I’m trying to keep my local and remote branch in sync.
Is there a way to force the checkout to ignore the changes on the currently checked out branch?
