# Versions in Depth The current release, CS6 Extended, is made up of three different programs: * Photoshop: This is where you will spend most of your time when you are using the program. It is the parent program for Elements. The standard Photoshop program is used for processing images in the TIFF, PSD, and JPEG formats. (TIFF is discussed in the sidebar “The humble JPEG file” earlier in this chapter.) * Photoshop Elements: Offers editing capabilities not found in Photoshop, including selective editing with layers and multiple edits, such as cropping and saving, and images can be saved in both TIFF and JPEG formats. (JPEG is discussed in the sidebar “The humble JPEG file” earlier in this chapter.) * Photoshop Creative: This is the sister program to Photoshop Elements. It was released with CS6 but is not mandatory to
There are many powerful features that are only available in the full version of Photoshop. Even though Photoshop Elements has a lot of features, it does not come close to Photoshop’s capabilities. It does have a few modules that are similar to Photoshop. Most are missing one or two important features. But if you learn the basic commands, you can perform common tasks like retouching and fixing problems or creating new images in just a few steps. In fact, one of the modules called Adjustments is very similar to the Clarity tool in Photoshop. This guide is aimed at users with no prior knowledge of Photoshop or graphic design. If you are a beginner, you may not be able to find everything that you’re looking for on this site. I’ve made a comprehensive list of Photoshop Elements, Photoshop, and graphic design related websites and blogs. I’ve also created a list of Photoshop tutorials and a list of books for beginners. You can see those at the end of the guide. If you have been using Photoshop long-time and are a fairly experienced user, you can skip this article. This article was originally published in 2015, but it is still relevant and I thought it’d be nice to keep it here. Update (20 February 2018): Save money on Photoshop on Adobe.com Applying Adjustments is not available in Photoshop Elements The Adjustments module in Photoshop Elements is limited You can’t paint directly on a layers panel in Photoshop Elements I’ve been using Photoshop since version 3.0, and I’ve learned many of the Adobe Photoshop features and shortcuts through trial and error. It’s a bit of a tedious process, but I also got a lot of shortcuts that I use every day. I’m going to show you how to perform common tasks in Photoshop Elements like creating new images, retouching and editing your existing images. Before you start editing your images, this site will help you on how to use the menu commands to perform basic image editing tasks. But first I have to warn you that these are not intended for professional purposes. These are shortcuts to help you get things done quickly and efficiently. You may have to go back and forth between several pages in Photoshop Elements to get things done. Whether you have the full version of Photoshop or use Photoshop Elements, this page will help you a681f4349e
Q: The optimization of a function in MATLAB I am doing a MATLAB program which was given to me by my professor. In the beginning of the program, I have to find the maximum value of a function. This is the function: (½(γc−1)·(log(1+T/c)+T·log(1+T/c)))+ (¼γc·T)+(¾γc−1)·T·(log(1+T/c)+T·log(1+T/c)) Where c is a parameter (positive integer), and T is a variable (positive real value). The complete function is: function [y]=euler(c,T) y=1 while y
Q: Does a custom file input follow HTML5 ARIA requirements? I’m looking at custom file input examples on w3c.org, none of them seem to be in ARIA specification, how do I know if they are compliant with those guidelines? A: The custom element input.html uses input elements and they are not listed in the ARIA status table in this link: Therefor this document is not considered as a W3C ARIA document. However, I believe to have found this: which says: The file input element […] functions just like the HTML element, but the file input element does not offer a native mechanism for changing the value of the file. (The reason for this is that file uploading is accomplished with a feature that was added in HTML5, “form data”, not by the standard HTML way of doing things.) And that the aria-describedby attribute works on all elements in HTML5’s ARIA Role Table A: As @Matthew mentioned in his answer, the file input is not listed in the W3C’s ARIA Mapping Status Table. Another thing is that in the specification states that: The element type is designed to provide a convenient way to allow the user to select a single item from a menu. The item can be retrieved from a server using the value of the input. Which sounds like a normal HTML , so, it’s not a perfect fit for the role, but its important to note that it is more generic than the one. l v e – 8 * b – 1 4 = – 2 * b – 2 * b f o r b . – 3 S o l v e – 4 * o – 9
