Learn Photoshop CC for Free! What is Photoshop? Photoshop is a graphics program that has been available since 1987. Although originally intended as a way to edit and edit pictures, it has since become a powerhouse tool for manipulating digital imagery in all kinds of electronic image formats. With it, users can tweak colors, adjust backgrounds, resize, crop, and remove unwanted details. Photoshop is frequently used for illustration, graphic design, and image enhancement. Most of Photoshop’s power comes from the layers that make up an image. Each layer can be moved, scaled, or retouched separately, and when an image is made up of several layers (and perhaps multiple photo layers), it can be manipulated and adjusted easily. Presently, Photoshop has two ways of manipulating layers: Layer masking – create a new layer to move, crop, or alter the layer’s contents, and mask off the portions you don’t want changed. – create a new layer to move, crop, or alter the layer’s contents, and mask off the portions you don’t want changed. Editing paths – creates an outline of an image that can be manipulated and set into a new layer. Photo editing software such as Photoshop has historically been used to create more professional-looking images. It was until recently when Photoshop’s most recent version, Adobe Photoshop CC, that has set itself apart by offering everything from video editing and 3D modeling to professional web design, animation and special effects creation. How does Photoshop work? When you open a Photoshop document, you’ll see a window that looks similar to the image below. In this example, I’ve opened an image of a flower with Photoshop’s default New Document feature. The next step is usually to flatten, that is, to create a new layer for each element in the image. In this case, there’s a flower, a vase, a bouquet, a ribbon, a stem, and a leaf. Because you want to manipulate all of these layers, you create a new layer for each of them. Notice how the new layers appear in the Layers palette, where they are displayed as solid white rectangles. What happens next depends on the individual tool. For example, you might use the Crop tool to cut out a part of the flower. If you want to make that change, you need to select the Crop tool and then click in the section you want to crop, as the image below

FRAMINGHAM, Mass. (AP) — Authorities have detained the two men they say rammed a car into a Massachusetts State Police SUV and then stabbed a trooper inside the vehicle. Pilot Log reports the trooper and two Massachusetts Bay Transportation Authority police officers were leaving a funeral when the cars crashed Monday evening in the town of Raynham. FBI agents and state troopers surrounded the car as the three were taken from the scene. The Associated Press isn’t identifying the men pending charges against them. The identity of the trooper wasn’t released, but the FBI said they are an 18-year-old and a 21-year-old with no known address. They are facing felony charges of assault and battery with a dangerous weapon, and also may face federal hate crime charges.Q: Android How to get width and height of a SurfaceView I am trying to get the width and height of a SurfaceView by using the code below. Display display = ((WindowManager) getSystemService(WINDOW_SERVICE)).getDefaultDisplay(); Point size = new Point(); display.getSize(size); int width = size.x; int height = size.y; System.out.println(width); System.out.println(height); I got different results each time. Am I doing something wrong? A: Have you tried calling this before the getSize()? If not, then getSize() may be returning an invalid size, because it depends on how the SurfaceView is created. In my case, when I created the SurfaceView, I only passed it a canvas (instead of passing it a rectangle), and I got an invalid size. So make sure your SurfaceView is being created correctly. ? -2, 0, 1 Let k(a) = -17*a – 6. Let z be k(1). Let v = -22 – z. Solve v*i + 2 + 1/4*i**2 = 0. -2 Solve 1/9
Hummel wins at Falls City A week ago Nick Hummel led a seven-man crowd with the winning bid of $20 in the opening game of the day and the rest is history. The Broadview lineman beat out three other men by at least $6 to win the bullhorn, the first game for the West Point graduate. “I would have liked to win the bullhorn game, and I did, but I’m not very good at math,” said Hummel, who will be using the instrument for the first time at next week’s nationals. “I missed the $25 I put in on the first hand of the game.” Hummel’s first bullhorn was given to him by Texas A&M University student John McCall. For the competition, Hummel gave a small cross that was barely visible next to a hinged gold-colored bullhorn. “It’s solid and I felt comfortable in there,” Hummel said. “I think it takes a long time to figure out what to play in a bullhorn, but that’s what I did.” Hummel’s second bullhorn will be given to him during the closing ceremony. He said he plans to put the original bullhorn on the piano in his parent’s basement in Oklahoma City. Although Hummel’s journey will end at the International Bullhorn Championships in Galveston, he has no regrets for the time he spent competing in Iowa. “The competition was really good,” Hummel said. “It’s a lot of fun. I didn’t really want to win it until the last round, then I really did want to win.” In the bullhorn competition, contestants compete in a number of games in the form of a quiz. Each round lasts for 30 seconds. Hummel and the other nine competitors were divided into eight teams of three, four or five people. The teams compete in rounds against one another throughout the day. “That’s the real fun of it,” he said. “You don’t know what you’re going to play until the bullhorn is around your neck.” The bullhorn also allows the players to interact with the crowd and other competitors. “I got to go and do a few goofy things in front of people,” Hummel said. “It’s kind of cool.” Although Hummel just started bullhorn competitions four years ago, he said he may be giving up the
