5 Most Advanced Workflow Phases On a Mac, the Photoshop interface has a split-screen view, allowing users to work in and out of Photoshop simultaneously. There are five main workflow phases that photographers use: Lightroom, Photoshop, Photoshop Elements, After Effects, and Illustrator. Lightroom Lightroom is a module within Photoshop, giving photographers and designers the ability to make adjustments to photos and raw files. If you import your images into Photoshop’s file system, you’ll need to have a Lightroom-compatible file extension. Lightroom can be used to adjust fine detail, such as minor color corrections and white balancing. It is most common to import images into a Lightroom file from a memory card or scanner and then use that as a starting point for editing in the upcoming Photoshop and Photoshop Elements phases. Lightroom contains no computerized automation features, so it has a different workflow than Photoshop. Photoshop and Photoshop Elements Photoshop and Photoshop Elements are the most commonly used stages of the workflow. While Lightroom is more suited to editing, Photoshop and Photoshop Elements are more suited for designing. Photoshop is at the heart of the workflow, because it allows users to manipulate images in photorealistic ways. Photoshop has all the tools needed to be able to edit any type of image, but it has additional tools for retouching, doing layout, and color management. Photoshop can be used for almost any type of photo editing, including retouching photos. Photoshop Elements is a sibling to Photoshop and is used for special projects and fixing the smaller elements of a photo, such as adding a new frame or using layer tools to produce special effects on an image. After Effects After Effects is a different program that isn’t really part of the workflow as much as it is complementary. Photoshop and Photoshop Elements can be used to add effects, like titles and special effects, to an image and then place that graphic over the image. After Effects is suited for creating text effects and video editing as well as creating 3D-related effects. Adobe uses After Effects when adding a video overlay to an image to create a more visually appealing point-of-sale ad. Illustrator Illustrator is another program that is used as a complement to Photoshop. Illustrator is not used as much in the workflow,
Save for web use Obviously, the best way to learn how to use Photoshop Elements to make better images is to make some images in Elements. Once you know how to do that, you can use the web presets or the print presets to make images for your website or print. Adobe have created many thousands of web preset and print preset settings. They are put on this page in a number of categories to aid discovery. This tutorial is based on learning how to use the web presets to edit photographs for the web. For more tips on using Photoshop Elements to make high-quality images for the web, see our tutorial on Web Presets. Saving for web use in Elements uses the same general principles as saving any other file for web use. Save a web preset Import the image for web use Open the image in Elements that you want to use for the web. Click on the Web Presets button. Select the web preset you want to use from the Presets drop-down menu. Click the web preset for the settings you want to use. To open the image again, choose File > Open. To close the web preset, choose File > Close. Example web preset To give you an example of how to make an image suitable for the web, I’m going to use the preset shown at right. This is an example of using web presets. Making web presets Making web presets is very similar to making print presets, although they have different settings. Web preset Use the web preset to make an image suitable for the web. After you’ve created the settings, you can import them for web use. Basic web presets The first thing to note about web presets is that they have fewer settings than print presets. This is because you don’t usually 05a79cecff
Judges 16 1Then Jeshua the son of Joakim and his brothers the priests went to teach the people in the towns of Ephraim, that is, the west side of the Jordan. 2And Jeshua preached in the towns of Gilead, in the territory of the Reubenites and the Gadites, and they heard him. 3The people of Ammon, however, heard that he was there in Gilead and they came against him in wrath, with at least four thousand chariots and ten thousand horsemen. 4And when he saw that number, he changed his strategy and got away to the land of Moab. 5He also said to his brothers in Judah, “Put up again the ark of the covenant of the Lord your God into the house that it was taken away from, 6and look! I myself will be gathered to my fathers, and your dead will perish.” 7So his brothers did as he said, and they put the ark back into the house that it was taken away from, while Jeshua died. 8Then the news reached the ears of Joshua, and the Israelites, and all the house of Israel who were with him, at Shiloh. And they went up to bury him. 9About an hundred men from the Israelites, out of each tribe of the Israelite, were designated by their names, 10and they came to Joshua to the place where he was buried, while the children of Israel did him homage. 11And they said to Joshua, “Tell us, how did your servant Joacim die? For you yourself did not come against him but he was buried at the place of your going up from him.” 12But to the children of Israel he said, “His exile was longer than the exile of Sodom and Gomorrah, that the LORD should not overthrow the descendants of Israel. 13But if the exile of Joacim and his brothers seemed long, and his downfall was short, to the descendants of Israel, those who remain will be for a sign to you, and you will know that the LORD has sent me before you.” 14So the children of Israel did unto Joacim as he had spoken to Joshua; and to his offspring they extended the right of burial. 15These are the names of the men who were the heads of the families of the Reubenites, the Gadites, and the half
Breadcrumb 3.18.2017 Our government is making it more difficult for women to access free birth control. That’s right. Federal law requires that employers provide this life-saving, safe, reversible birth control to their employees free of charge. Contraception is the most effective means of reducing unplanned pregnancies, controlling the spread of STDs, and saving lives. But the Trump administration just tweaked the rule that prevents employers from controlling whether their employees have access to birth control. This rule change will severely restrict women’s access to safe, affordable birth control. For instance, 94 percent of the women with employer-provided insurance and contraceptive coverage at work choose the same method every time they have sex with their partner (either IUDs or implants), which means that most of those women will no longer be able to do so if their employer decides to change their approved methods. Women with employer-provided coverage are about four times more likely to use an IUD than a non- department store employee (Source: House Committee on Health, Educ. & Labor, 2017). Independent health experts have similarly found that these methods are more reliable, healthier, and less expensive than those women on the market (Source: AAA, 2017). These women-centered requirements are the only effective, means-tested birth control that we have: if birth control were free, no one would be eligible. These basic, important requirements are at risk if this rule gets overturned in court. But it won’t. For now. We need to fight to block this rule change until all women’s access to cheap, safe, reliable birth control is protected. You can stop this by taking a few simple steps right now. Take Action 1.
