AutoCAD went through several major versions after 1982, with each version being released every six months to a year. AutoCAD 2013 was released in October 2012 and AutoCAD LT 2013 in September 2013. AutoCAD is compatible with Microsoft Windows, Mac OS X, and Linux. A Linux-based version of AutoCAD, AutoCAD LT, is also available.
